"Raising the Standards" (RtS) is an Inter-Governmental initiative to help address domestic abuse and violence (DA) in the following jurisdictions: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.  This is achieved by sharing information on policy initiatives, coordinating research and developing good practice to mutually raise the standards of services to victims.

Conferences: Every one to two years this networking organisation has arranged an international, inter-jurisdictional conference. The sixth conference was held in Jersey, Channel Islands. in May 2009 following on from earlier, successful events in other jurisdictions. During the meeting on November 6th in Wales of the RtS Core committee it was decided not to plan the next conference due to the general funding situation.  Meanwhile, the group of  lead persons from each jurisdiction plans to meet again in 2010.
