PRESENTER BIOGRAPHY
Lynn Lynch, MBE Lynn was appointed first Consultant Midwife in Wales for vulnerable women, working at Cwm Taf NHS Trust. Her clinical focus is on vulnerable women; working with relevant professionals and agencies to improve the health of childbearing women, issues can include domestic abuse, peri-natal mental health and substance misuse in pregnancy. Lynn has led on the development and publication of the All Wales antenatal domestic abuse pathway and training pack. She is currently facilitating this work to Emergency departments across Wales. Lynn is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Glamorgan; her research focus is on issues surrounding domestic abuse. Lynn has recently been awarded a Welsh Office of Research and Development grant 2008 /09 to evaluate the domestic abuse antenatal pathway through the views and experiences of women who have disclosed. She is a UK member on a European research study exploring domestic abuse issues in Primary Care.
